Birmingham, AL (December 2-4, 2022) — He’s good to go. Miles Chambers is proving to be as solid a fencer on the road as he is in the New York area.

Chambers and several Tim Morehouse Fencing Club teammates traveled to Birmingham, AL for the Magic City SYC/RCC at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center over the weekend. And it was a good trip for all.

Vedh Srivats started his tournament off right, winning a bronze medal in Y-12 Men’s Saber on Friday. Chambers won the first of his two medals of the weekend, winning seventh place in this event. Marcus Pinto narrowly missed the medal stand, coming in ninth.

Chambers was back in action on Saturday, winning gold in Y-10 Men’s Saber, further solidifying his position as the top Y-10 fencer in the country.

The trio closed out the weekend, competing in Y-14 Men’s Saber. Chambers finished in 11th place, Srivats in 17th and Pinto in 26th.

Chambers and Srivats attend the Riverdale Country Day School. Pinto is a student at Eastern Middle School in Greenwich, CT. All train at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club’s Westchester location in Port Chester, NY.

Congratulations fencers, coaches and parents.
