  • Your child will have a 20-minute private, one-on-one lesson with an experienced TMFC coach.
    They’ll learn basic movement, simple fencing actions, and get a feel for the sport in a fun, supportive environment.

    Parents are welcome to watch and ask questions.

  • Trial lessons are for first-time fencers and for students new to Tim Morehouse Fencing Club.
    It gives your child a chance to experience fencing while helping our coaches understand their level and recommend the best next steps.

  • No. We provide all fencing equipment needed for the lesson.

    Just wear athletic clothes and sneakers.

  • Yes. Fencing is a highly regulated Olympic sport with strict safety standards.
    All lessons are supervised by trained coaches, and students use proper protective equipment.

  • After the lesson, the coach will briefly share feedback and suggest next steps based on your child’s interests and goals.

    Many families choose to start with our Starter Program, which includes a short series of classes and lessons designed for new fencers.

    If you’d like to continue, our team will help you select the best program and complete registration online.

    There is no obligation to enroll after the trial.
