Deadline's Coming: Apply for All-American All-Academic Teams

New York, NY (May 15, 2024) — The June 5th deadline is looming.

These are the last weeks to submit applications for both the USA Fencing High School All-American Team and the Absolute Fencing Gear All-Academic Team.

The USA Fencing High School All-American Program recognizes high school fencers who demonstrate excellent leadership, sportsmanship and have earned an E rating or higher.

Selection is based on fencing accomplishments, academic standing and character as an athlete, student and community member. Apply HERE.

The Absolute Fencing Gear All-Academic Team honors student-athletes who have excelled in high school. Athletes with a GPA of at least 3.85 (94 or better) are eligible for the All-Academic First Team, and those with a GPA between 3.4-3.84 (83 to 93) qualify for the Second Team.

There is also a scholarship element to All-Academic honors. Absolute Fencing Gear underwrites four scholarships: One female and one male applicant will receive $4,000 each based on their GPA and essay and two applicants will receive $1,000 each based on their essay alone. Apply HERE.

Recipients of either honor will a certificates of achievement along with bragging rights that can be promoted on college applications and personal résumés.
