TMFC Featured Fencer: Gabriel McCarthy

New York, NY — He’s been around from the start of the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club and for that, and his many stellar fencing bouts, he’s know as “Legend.” Whether he’s preparing for competitions on the World Cup circuit or simply in the club for class, he’s a leader to the younger fencers. What you love about fencing: I like that it’s time spent concentrating on something other than school, and it's just fun! 

Favorite tournament/bout and why: Junior Olympics. It’s always so much fun to see everyone from everywhere.  Somehow, it feels like the biggest tournament of the year.

Interests outside of fencing: Journalism, playing basketball and spending time with my friends.

Events at Summer Nationals: All of them! Cadet Men’s Saber, Junior Men’s Saber, Division I Men’s Saber, Division I-A Men’s Saber, Senior Men’s Saber Teams and Division II Men’s Saber.
