REGISTER NOW: USA Fencing All-Academic and All-American Recognition
New York, NY — High school fencers, listen up!!
Applications are available for both the USA Fencing High School All-American Team and the Absolute Fencing Gear All-Academic Team.
These prestigious programs celebrate the achievements of outstanding young fencers in the sport and their academic accomplishments. The deadline to submit applications for both programs is June 5, 2023.
The Absolute Fencing Gear All-Academic Team honors student-athletes who have excelled in high school with impressive GPAs, while also considering class rank and core academic subjects. Athletes with a GPA of at least 3.85 (94 or better) are eligible for the All-Academic First Team, and those with a GPA between 3.4-3.84 (83 to 93) qualify for the Second Team.
Absolute Fencing Gear is also offering $10,000 in scholarships for the All-Academic Team program, including two $4,000 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarships based on GPA and essay submissions.

The USA Fencing High School All-American Program recognizes high school fencers who compete at a high level on the fencing strip while also demonstrating excellent leadership and sportsmanship. Fencers in ninth to 12th grade at a secondary school or in a home school program, with an E rating or higher, can apply for the All-American Team.
Selection is based on a combination of fencing accomplishments, academic standing, and exceptional character as an athlete, student, and community member.

Student-athletes selected for either team will receive certificates of achievement and an accomplishment that can be promoted on college applications and personal résumés.
