Metuchen, NJ (March 25-26, 2023) — We’ve got GOATS.

The Goldfinch ROC/Div IA, Vet, RJCC and Chairfencing competition called out its gold medalists as GOATS (the greatest of all time) and Tim Morehouse Fencing Club had two!

Enzo Bera has been on an upward trajectory as of late and took gold in Cadet Men’s Saber, also earning his C23 rating.

And new to the Veteran Men’s Saber circuit, Aaron Waxler came out of nowhere to take the gold away from the more experienced fencers. His secret weapon was strip coach Asha Bera, who has honed her support skills trailing after Enzo for years.

Two of the Women’s saberists were double winners. Sofia Schaible won silver in Cadet Women’s Saber and eighth place in Junior Women’s Saber. Varvara Mankova took bronze in Cadet and seventh place in Junior Women’s Saber.

Back from college, Seth Edelman won bronze in Junior Men’s Saber, along with his D23 rating. Eleanor Li won bronze in Cadet Women’s Foil. Alexander Francois took bronze in Cadet Men’s Saber, earning his D23 rating in the process.

William Gerrish took seventh place in Cadet Men’s Foil. Iris Yang came in eighth in Division IA Women’s Foil and Eleanor Li also took eighth in Junior Women’s Foil.
