Tim Morehouse Fencers Rise to the Austin Challenge

Double medalist Zizi Dai

Austin, TX (December 17-19, 2022) — Tim Morehouse fencers racked up some Texas-sized wins at the Austin Challenge SYC/RYC.

Foilist Zizi Dai was a double medalist, bringing home a gold medal in Cadet Women’s Foil and a silver medal in Y-14 Women’s Foil.

Dai trains at the Westchester location of Tim Morehouse Fencing Club with coaches Slava Grigoriev and Dan Bass.

Saber fencer Miles Chambers was a double medalist. Chambers tied for a bronze medal with teammate Aidan Song in Y-10 Men’s Saber. In Y-12 Men’s Saber, he took sixth place, Aram Clark won the bronze medal and Marcus Pinto won silver.

Ethan Kim was also a double medalist, taking sixth place in Cadet Men’s Saber and seventh place in Y-14 Men’s Saber.

Sofia Schaible won a silver medal in Y-14 Women’s Saber and in Y-10 Women’s Saber, Charlotte Choi took a sixth-place medal. in Y-10 Men’s Foil, Michael Grigoriev earned a seventh-place finish.
