Young Foil Fencers Try Competing for the First Time
Y-12 Mixed Foil
Port Chester, NY (October 15, 2022) — How do you train young fencers to be competitors? Send them to local competitions.
More than 20 young foil fencers tested their chops at the first Morehouse Foil Youth Cup in Westchester this weekend.
Competitors from Way of the Sword, 3Farmington Fencing, Gutkovskiy Fencing Academy and Tim Morehouse Fencing Club waged friendly bouts. Many of the kids came away with their first medals earned this season, or even overall.
Congratulations fencers, coaches and parents.
