Metuchen, NJ (Oct 15-16, 2022) — When the first place medal proclaims you’re the “Greatest of All Time,” or the G.O.A.T., it seems you work a little harder.

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club members were not immune to this lure and consequently came away from the Jersey Clash RYC/RCC loaded with gold medals and more.

Gold medal winners spanned events and included:

Aidan Song, Y-10 Men’s Saber;
Nickolas Rusadze, Cadet Men’s Foil;
Charlotte Choi, Y-10 Women’s Saber;
Grace Feng, Y-12 Women’s Foil; and
Vedh Srivats, Y-12 Men’s Saber.

In addition, silver medals were earned by Amabel Wang in Y-10 Women’s Foil and Thomas Czarnecki in Y-10 Men’s Foil.

Jonah Lee earned bronze in Cadet Men’s Foil, as did both Miles Chambers and Aram Clark in Y-12 Men’s Saber.

Eleanor Li earned fifth place in Y-14 Women’s Foil. Ethan Kim earned fifth place in Y-14 Men’s Saber with teammate Aram Clark taking eighth place in the same event. Catherine Zhou took fifth place in Cadet Women’s Foil.

Coco Guven’s efforts were rewarded with a sixth place medal in Cadet Women’s Saber. Sienna Young earned sixth place in Y-10 Women’s Saber. And Marcus Pinto took sixth place in Y-12 Men’s Saber.

Amabel Wang earned her second medal of the weekend seventh place in Y-12 Women’s Foil.

Besides the medal winners, all of the Tim Morehouse fencers who competed over the weekend worked hard for their touches and learned lessons.
