Join Our Family.

For many of our athletes, TMFC becomes a second home — from their first youth class through college and beyond.

We develop students as individuals while they grow as fencers. More than a fencing club, TMFC is a place to grow up — and grow into a champion on and off the fencing strip.

It All Starts Here.
Our Youth Program is the foundation of everything we do — and has produced world champions, nationally ranked athletes, and college recruits at the top universities in the country.

Students who start in our Youth program to build their foundation and then commit to the competitive pathway consistently go on to fence in college — with nearly 100% placement on NCAA teams or competitive club programs, adding depth and distinction to their college experience.

Program Overview
Musketeers (ages 6–8) and Youth Champions (ages 9–12) programs are designed for beginner through advanced fencers, focusing on strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the sport before proceeding to our elite competitive programs.

Program Dates: September 1, 2025 – June 22, 2026
Enrollment: Rolling enrollment — families may join at any time from September through June.

Eligibility
Open to students ages 6–12 after a trial lesson or beginner fencing camp.

settiNG YOUR CHILD UP FOR SUCCESS

Setting Athletes Up for Success

Athletes who train consistently — ideally twice per week — gain far more than those who attend only once. The immersion accelerates development, deepens confidence, and strengthens connection.

For athletes looking to progress more quickly, private lessons in addition to Bronze or Silver pull-out lessons help refine technical skills and build competitive readiness at a faster pace.

Success is not accidental. We understand what young athletes need to thrive:

  • Connection with Coaches — a sense of belonging and mentorship

  • Friendship & Community — teammates who push and support one another

  • Visible Progress — the confidence that comes from improving

  • Enjoyment — developing passion for the sport

  • A Clear Future — understanding the pathway ahead

When these elements come together, the club becomes more than a training facility — it becomes a second home.

Over time, athletes begin to see themselves in our Olympians and national champions. They recognize that there is a pathway forward. They see the future — and they believe they can reach it.

Partnering in Your Child’s Development

Just as we do at the highest levels of the sport, success in our Youth Program is built on partnership — between parents, coaches, and athletes.

Every athlete is different. The more we understand your child, the better we can support them.

How Parents Can Partner With Us

  • Help us get to know your child. Share insights that will help us coach them more effectively.

  • Communicate early. If your child has a difficult class, feels uncomfortable, or expresses frustration, let us know. We can adjust.

  • Ask questions. If something feels unclear or is based on assumptions, reach out. We welcome conversation.

  • Recognize adjustment periods. Starting something new can take time. Growth often follows initial discomfort.

  • Trust the process — and ask questions. Some elements of development may not feel obvious at first. As athletes grow, the reasoning behind our structure and decisions becomes clearer.

When parents and coaches work together, the club becomes more than a class — it becomes a supportive environment where young athletes grow in confidence, resilience, and purpose.

Growth Is a Two-Way Process

We are human, too. Our coaches work intentionally to understand and motivate each athlete — but development is never one-size-fits-all. We are constantly learning, refining, and adjusting to best support every child.

If something feels off, work with us. Communication allows us to respond thoughtfully and grow alongside your child.

We hold ourselves to high standards, and we continue to grow as coaches — just as we expect our athletes to grow.

At TMFC, we model what we teach: accountability, resilience, and continuous improvement.

“The gold standard for youth fencing: elite coaches, strong values, and a fun, supportive environment.”
