Sad Announcement: Mourning the Loss of Young TMFC Member Mark Shaparin

Dear Members of the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of one of our young members, Mark Shaparin, a few weeks ago. Mark, aged 10, fenced foil at our Port Chester location where he worked with Coach Slava and Essam. Mark was a vibrant part of our fencing community, and his sudden departure has left us all deeply saddened.

During his time with us, Mark brought joy and enthusiasm to our club with his dedication and passion for the sport. His presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In this time of grief, we extend our deepest condolences to Mark's family and loved ones, his parents Dr. Naum Shaparin and Joanne Tzanos and his two brothers Sam and Evan. Our thoughts are with his family as they navigate through this challenging period.

Mark lived in Scarsdale with his family and attended Quaker Ridge elementary so I know there are probably some of you who knew him both from our club and school.

His parents have asked that if you or your children have any remembrances or stories about your time spent with Mark that they would love to hear them. I am happy to pass those stories onto the family if you wish or if you'd like to send them directly, they are ok with me sharing their contact information.

If you would like to send flowers there address is:
8 Split Tree RD
Scarsdale, NY 10583

With heavy hearts and shared sorrow,

Tim
