Salt Lake City, UT (April 25-28,2024) — Nickolas Rusadze and Robert Wang are gold medal winners.
In addition, Filip Dolegiewicz’s sixth-place finish in the Division I National Championship put him in fourth place on the overall points standings for the Olympics.
These three lead the steady parade of great performances from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencers at the April North American Cup.
Rusadze’s gold came in the Junior Men’s Foil event where he also earned his A24 rating.
In an all-TMFC final, Wang earned his gold in Junior Men’s Saber by defeating teammate Shaun Kim, who took the silver.
In Veteran-70 Women’s Foil, Madelon Rosenfeld made the medal stand in fifth place.
There were many near misses on the medal stand: Shaun Kim placed ninth in Division I Men’s Saber, Brynnley McKee placed 12th in Division I Women’s Saber and Iris Yang finished in 10th place in Junior Women’s Foil.
