Filip Dolegiewicz Wins First International Medal

Tbilisi, Georgia (Feb 9-11, 2023) — Bronze is his new favorite color.

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencer Filip Dolegiewicz won his first international medal, a bronze in Men’s Team Saber at the Tbilisi Men’s Saber World Cup.

He was joined by fellow TMFC fencer Eli Dershwitz on Team USA along with Saron Mitchell and Colin Heathcock to take the third spot behind Team Hungary and Team Korea.

Individually, Dolegiewicz finished in eighth place, the highest Team USA finish, which puts him in contention for the Olympic team. Dershwitz, ranked sixth in the world, finished in ninth place.
