Raleigh, NC (June 2-4, 2023) — At the first June North American Cup, fencers from Tim Morehouse took the chance to tune-up for the big show, Summer Nationals.
In less than a month, fencers from across the country will travel to Phoenix, AZ for the end of the season competitions is almost every category from Veterans to Y-10.
However, in Raleigh, it was hot competition for the Cadets, Juniors and Division !! fencers. And it was the women who hit the medal stands.
Catherine Zhou took gold in Division II Women’s Foil, earning her B23 rating. Ella Calise earned silver in Junior Women’s Foil, earning her A23 rating. Iris Yang was a double medal winner, taking bronze in both Junior Women’s Foil and Cadet Women’s Foil.
In saber fencing, Sofia Schaible made the medal stand in 8th place for Division II Women’s Saber.
