Tim Morehouse Fencers Take Gold at Pan American Zonals

Lima, Peru (June 15-20, 2023) — Tim Morehouse fencers Eli Dershwitz and Sabrina Fang had a golden time at the Pan American Championships in Peru.

Dershwitz led Team USA to a gold medal in the Men’s Saber Team competition with USA winning 45-40 over Canada. Rafael “Fito” Western Reyes, competing for Puerto Rico, led his team to a seventh-place finish.

Fang, competing for Team Canada, helped her team beat the Women’s Foil Team from USA 45, 43. This is the second year in a row Team Canada has bested Team USA in this event.

In individual Senior Men’s Saber events, Dershowitz took seventh place and “Fito” finished in 23rd place out of 51 fencers.

In Senior Women’s Foil, Fang finished eighth out of 48 fencers.
