Stamford's Ziad Elsissy Wins Bronze at Algeria World Cup

Alger, Algeria (Nov 12, 2022) — Tim Morehouse Fencing Club’s Ziad Elsissy won bronze at the Algeria World Cup.

Fencing for his home country of Egypt, this is the first time this Stamford resident made the top-four in a Senior World Cup and his first Senior World Cup medal.

Elsissy trains at Tim Morehouse in Port Chester, NY with Coach Ahmed Hamdy. He represented Egypt in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and is training for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Fellow Tim Morehouse teammate Eli Dershwitz finished the World Cup in 11th place.
