How many Unified Points does a cadet win earn?

Local-event points depend on the age category, final event-strength rating and finishing place. Both cadet registration fields currently show a projected E1 rating on AskFRED. USA Fencing’s published table gives a standard local cadet win 30 points; the E1 strength factor is 0.5. If both events finish as E1, the calculated award is 15 Cadet Unified Points for Angela and 15 for Leo.

These are provisional calculations, not confirmed posted awards. Final participation, event classification and the submitted official results must be checked before reporting the points as earned. See USA Fencing’s official points tables and the TMFC Cup #1 event page.

Local fencing competitions with national goals

USA Fencing’s Unified Points List brings eligible local, regional and national results into one ranking framework for Cadet, Junior and Senior fencers. A fencer’s six best results count. Those rankings support national-event eligibility, championship qualification and seeding, and help determine Elite and Challenger placement at applicable NAC events.

A single club result is one step in that process. The points route to the 2027 Junior Olympics requires 125 points on the Cadet Unified list or 200 on the Junior Unified list by the qualification deadline, subject to the full eligibility rules. Families should review USA Fencing’s championship qualification requirements and plan their competition schedule with their coach.
