Youth fencing competition in Westchester

Local fencing tournaments give young athletes a chance to put their training into practice. Every bout presents decisions about distance, timing and tactics, along with opportunities to learn how to reset between touches and prepare for the next opponent.

For families following youth fencing in Port Chester and the surrounding Westchester community, the TMFC Youth Cup is also a chance to celebrate progress across the field. A podium finish deserves recognition, and so does the work each athlete brings to practice and competition.

We congratulate all 11 competitors and thank the coaches, families and visiting clubs who helped make this day of youth saber fencing possible.

Keep building on the experience

TMFC fencers can review their tournament experience with their coaches and choose specific skills to work on before the next competition. From preparing for the first touch to adapting during a bout, those lessons can become useful goals for the next practice.

Families exploring fencing in Manhattan or Westchester can learn more through Tim Morehouse Fencing Club. Athletes planning their school-break training can also explore TMFC’s elite fencing camps, schedules and registration options.
