Tim Morehouse Junior Women's Foilists Trounced at the Neil Lazar RYC/RYCC

New Haven, CT (Sept 23-24, 2023) — The junior women foilists dominated at the Neil Lazar RYC/RJCC.

Alina Zhang won gold and renewed her A rating for 2023. Her teammates followed along: Ella Calise won silver, Eleanor Li took bronze, Grace Feng won fifth place and Zizi Dai finished in sixth place.

They also dominated the cadet women’s foil event with Grace Feng taking gold and earning her B-23 rating, Zizi Dai took sixth place and Ella Calise won seventh place. Amabel Wang won fifth place in Y-14 women’s foil.

Philip Matsakh got in on the act, winning gold in cadet men’s foil. Thomas Czarnecki won seventh in Y-12 men’s foil and Nickolas Rusadze won eighth place in Junior Men’s Foil.

And in the growing Tim Morehouse épée program, Lily Abdallah earned an eighth-place finish in the Y-10 women’s event.
