Luca Yang, Alina Zhang, Savannah Li Lead the Medal Count for Foilists at the NJFA RYC/RJCC

Metuchen, NJ (Sept 15-16, 2023) — Gold, silver and double medals.

That’s what foilists from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club started with at the New Jersey Fencing Alliance RYC/RJCC at the SportPlex at Metuchen last weekend.

Y-10 Men’s Foil fencer Luca Yang took gold, his first. Alina Zhang won silver in Junior Women’s Foil.

Savannah Li took home two fifth-place medals for both Y-12 and Y-14 Women’s Foil.

The dynamic duo of Ella Calise and Grace Feng took bronze and fifth-place medals respectively in Cadet Women’s Foil. Ethan Chen won bronze in Y-14 Men’s Foil, with teammate Ancen Wang winning seventh place in the same event.

And finally, Phillip Matsakh earned a seventh-place finish in Junior Men’s Foil.
