Tim Morehouse Fencers Compete Internationally (and Win Medals)

Sofia, Bulgaria (Nov 18-20, 2023) — Winning a bronze medal on the world stage? Something to be thankful for.

Team USA #1 did just that at the Cadet Saber Women’s and Men’s Events in Sofia, Bugaria. The event was Men’s Team and Team #1 was made up of Tim Morehouse Fencing Club members Shaun Kim and Robert Wang along with Vasil Atanassov and Jason Bae. Team USA #2 finished with a silver medal.

In the men’s individual event, Wang finished in 13th place and Kim in 15th place.

On the women’s side, TMFC fencer Brynley McKee took 110th place.

In another hemisphere, Junior Women’s Foil action was taking place in Lima, Peru. Tim Morehouse fencer Alina Zhang finished in 8th place among an incredible depth of talent.
