Orlando, FL (Oct 26-29, 2023) — Tim Morehouse saber fencers put up a fight at the October North American Cup.
And they were rewarded. There were gold medals for Gabriel McCarthy (Division II Men’s Saber) and Robert Wang (Cadet Men’s Saber). A silver for Brynnley McKee (Cadet Women’s Saber) and a bronze for Filip Dolegiewicz (Division I Men’s Saber). Shaun Kim made the medal stand for Division I Men’s Saber in eighth place.
The October North American Cup, or NAC, is the first national competition in the 2023-2024 season. Earning national points puts fencers in contention for the Junior Olympics and junior national teams that can compete internationally.
There was an unprecedented number of TMFC fencers making top-64, top-32 and top-16 positions. Hard work pays off.
Congratulations fencers, coaches and families.
