Tim Morehouse Fencing Club at Chelsea Piers CT (September 24 - 25, 2022) — Way of the Sword’s Luca Ghedini claimed gold in the Cadet Men’s Foil event at the 9-State Fencing Cup in Stamford, Connecticut. The 9-State Cup hosted by Tim Morehouse Fencing Club is one of the premier regional events in the country.
In a field of 42 fencers, Ghedini defeated Star Fencing Academy’s Terry Tang 15-10 in the gold medal match.
The event was live streamed on the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club You Tube channel. The broadcast featured live commentary, interviews with event winners and gold medal bouts.

The 9-State Fencing Cup
The 9 -State Fencing Cup consists of athletes from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, making up USA Fencing’s Region 3. The athletes competing in this event represent some of the best youth fencers in the country.
The event serves as a qualifier for the USA Summer Fencing Nationals this July in Phoenix, Arizona.
Locally to Connecticut, athletes will be participating from New Canaan, Darien, Stamford, Fairfield County, Greenwich, Old Greenwich, Norwalk, South Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Danbury and Fairfield.
Region 3 has some of the strongest fencing club’s in the country.
