Tim Morehouse Fencing Club offers the best summer fencing camps on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for children ages 6 to 14. Summer fencing day camps are in session now through August 29, 2026 at two Upper West Side studios: West Side at 210 West 91st Street near Broadway, and UWS at 2710 Broadway at 104th Street. Both studios are steps from Central Park and Riverside Park and easily reached from across the Upper West Side.
TMFC Upper West Side summer fencing camps are coached by Olympians and elite-level instructors including Olympic silver medalist Tim Morehouse and Olympian Eli Dershwitz. The 8:1 student-to-coach ratio ensures personalized instruction for every camper. No fencing experience is needed and all equipment is provided. Camps cover saber, epee, and foil. Every Friday features a tournament and medal ceremony where families are invited to watch.
Upper West Side summer camp pricing: New Camper Rate at $650 per week for first-time families, 1-Week Camp at $999 per week, and Summer Gold Pass at $3,500 for unlimited weeks all summer. All equipment is included. Camps are currently about 90% full and weeks are selling out, so reserving early is recommended. Camp hours are 10am to 4pm Monday through Friday with early drop-off and late pick-up options available.
A typical camp day includes warm-up games, footwork and blade drills, small-group skill instruction, packed lunch break in a peanut-free environment, supervised bouting and practice, team games, and pick-up at 3pm. Camps are grouped by skill level from complete beginners to competitive fencers.
