Bronxville's Miles Chambers Wins Gold at USA Fencing's March NAC

Fort Worth, TX (March 5-6, 2023) — Miles Chambers is a force!

The Y-10 Men’s Saber fencer has been dominating the Y-10 category, including at the March North American Cup (NAC) where he won gold.

This young fencer came into the competition ranked first in the country and his performance showed why. In his pool bouts, he only gave up three points. His direct elimination bouts were not much different. He walked to the final 10-0, 10-0, 10-1 and 10-3. He was awarded an E23 rating for this stellar performance, which is rare for Y-10 fencers.

In Y-12 Men’s Saber, Chambers emerged from pools in second place and just missed the medal stand, ultimately coming in at ninth place.

It must have been his warm-up — a big fan of Patrick Mahomes, Chambers loves to throw around a football as a part of his routine before a fencing tournament.

Chambers, a Bronxville, NY resident, is a fifth grader at Riverdale Country School student. He trains at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club in Port Chester, NY with Olympians Ziad Elsissy and Mamadou Keita. He loves playing video games in his spare time, especially John Madden’s Football and NBA 2K.

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club is building a bit of a monopoly in the Y-10 Men’s Saber event at the NAC. In addition to Chambers’ success last year, the event was won by TMFC fencer Zihou Dai.

Congratulations to Chambers, his coaches and his family.
