The March NAC: The Youngest and The Eldest Fencers Were On It

Richmond, VA (March 3-7, 2022) — Tim Morehouse fencers showed up in force in Richmond.

From the veterans to the Y-10 fencers, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club was represented in both saber and foil by fencers who gave it their all.

The club earned an impressive three gold medals, one bronze, fifth, sixth, and two eighth-place medals.

Shaun Kim is the national champion in Y-14 Men’s Saber. Zihou Dai is the national champion for Y-10 Men’s Saber, earning gold and an E22 rating. Madelon Rosenfeld earned bronze in Vet-70 Women’s Foil. Jackson Wong earned a fifth-place medal in Y-12 Men’s Foil. Grace Feng had a sixth-place finish in Y-10 Women’s Foil. Eighth place finished were earned by Kai Toomre in Y-10 Men’s Foil and Miles Chambers in Y-10 Men’s Saber.

Action at the March NAC ran from Friday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Events contested included Y14, Y12, Y10, Veteran Age, and Veteran Open in all three disciplines: épée, foil, and saber.

Next up on the national level is the April NAC and Championships to be held at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC from April 21-24, 2022. Events contested for championships include Division I, Division I Team, and Parafencing in all three disciplines: épée, foil, and saber. The NAC events will include Junior, Cadet, and Division II in all three disciplines as well.
