NAC Day 4: Ziad Elsissy Takes a Medal

Columbus, OH (Dec 12, 2021) — Ziad Elsissy made the medal stand for Division I Men’s Saber.

In a field full of Olympians, it was hard to get traction amongst the best of the best. Still, Elsissy, who represented Egypt in the Olympics, was able to earn a seventh place medal, behind a couple of US Olympians and their training partners.

Eli Dershwitz was edged out of the medals, losing his final bout to fellow Olympian Andrew Mackiewicz, who ultimately won gold.

In yet another medal performance, Sabrina Fang earned a fifth place finish in Division I Women’s Foil, making her NAC performance an impressive three-for-three.

Brynnley McKee placed 43rd in Cadet Women’s Saber, but more importantly, earned her E21 rating.

Overall, the performance of fencers from the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club at the NAC was impressive with almost every fencer reaching a milestone moment. “I am so proud of the the whole Tim Morehouse Fencing team this weekend!” said club founder Tim Morehouse.

Congratulations to all of the TMFC Fencers!
