Port Chester, NY (June 18, 2022) — The youngest foil fencers fine-tuned their skills at the TMFC Foil Day for Y-8 and Y-10 fencers.
In Y-8 Mixed Foil, the pool was super competitive with Luca Yang and Gavin Roth both winning four bouts. This duo continued to a nail-biter in the final with Yang coming out on top 10-9.
In Y-10 Mixed Foil, Amabel Wang came out of pools in first place with a 23 indicator — she only allowed two points in all five of her bouts. Unfortunately, she was taken out by teammate Haochen Yu in the semi-final 10-4. Yu went on to win the final bout 10-2.
