New York, NY (April 18, 2021) — Young fencers in the New York metropolitan area had a chance to test their skills at the Morehouse Saber Youth Cup #3.
In this Covid-abbreviated season, every opportunity to compete even at the local level makes a huge difference in a fencer’s confidence.
The Morehouse Cup, held at the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club in Manhattan, operated seven events from Y-10 to Y-14 attracting more than 30 competitors from multiple clubs in the area.
The gold medal winners include William Morrill (Y-14 Mixed), who won just two days after his Y-14 Bronze win at the April NAC, Amanda Li (Y-14 W), Ethan Kim (Y-12 M), Keira Lauri (Y-12 W), Isaac Yook (Y-10 M), Maia Hure (Y-10 W) and Miles Chambers (Y-8 Mixed).
