Olympic Silver medalist Tim Morehouse
Putting Vision into Action & Action into Results.
Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse has built a lasting legacy as one of the leading figures in the growth of fencing in the United States. With a Master’s in Education, Tim combines his passion for teaching, fencing, and the Olympic spirit. A three-time Olympian (2004, 2008, 2012), he captured a historic silver medal in men’s saber team at the Beijing Games—the first U.S. men’s saber medal since 1948—and also finished in the top-8 individually at the London Games in addition to being a 2x Individual US National Champion.
In 2011, he launched his 501(c)(3) foundation, Fencing in the Schools, dedicated to introducing fencing into physical education programs nationwide. Through this initiative, Tim has trained teachers and partnered with public schools to provide thousands of students with access to the sport and this work continues with partnership with schools such as Mott Hall and Success Academy in New York City.
Tim also founded Fencing Corps in 2024, a program that recruits, trains, and develops the next generation of fencing coaches. As part of Tim Morehouse Fencing Club’s mission, the program is helping shape not only future champions, but also great teachers and leaders within the sport. Coaches from TMFC have gone on to launch fencing clubs of their own—including Scarsdale Fencing and Z1 Fencing—carrying forward the knowledge they gained at TMFC.
In addition to being the CEO and his coaching responsibilities at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, Tim is currently the Director of Team USA Men’s Saber and is helping the US National team to prepare for the 2028 LA Olympics and helping to shape the development of Team USA’s Cadet and Junior programs. This past year, he helped to coach the Senior US National Team at the Senior World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Over the past 10 years, TMFC has become one of the premier fencing clubs in the country, producing national champions, international medalists, and college-recruited athletes. Tim remains most passionate about starting young fencers on their journey—helping them grow in both fencing and in life, supported by the values of hard work, resilience, and community.
